Pollution. Municipal services are taking preventative measures, such as more intense watering down of streets and avoiding the use of air blowers.
Neighbourhood Plan. The Rambla del Raval is to get a revamp, with Pl. Vázquez Montalbán and Pl. Salvador Seguí being adapted for more everyday use, fostering greater use by local residents.
Events. Bicycles was the star attraction of a festival being held on Sunday, 15 April, along Passeig de Lluís Companys.
Mobility. The Bicycle Festival 2018 included a mass bike ride, a fair for entities and associations and other activities for the general public, promoting sustainable mobility.
Walks. Barcelona City Council is getting a new group on its feet, under the 'Ens Movem programme, this coming 19 April, a collaboration between the Barcelona Sports Institute (IBE) and the Barcelona Public Health Agency(ASPB).
Urban planning. The transformation frees up 32,000 square metres for urban greenery and has been agreed on by local residents, FC Barcelona and municipal groups.
Pollution. Besides restrictions applying to cars during pollution episodes, as from December limits will also apply to pre-Euro 2 motorcycles and mopeds, mainly those registered before 2003.
Mobility. The district is adding 286 bike parking places near squares, schools and public facilities to facilitate mobility by bike and promote the use of healthier transport.
Bicycles. Various cyclist collectives are joining forces to bring April bike showers to Barcelona and its metropolitan surroundings and to raise the profile of bicycles on social networks.
Urban planning. Work on the side support walls and the roof slabs between the Mercat de la Vall d’Hebron and Av. Jordà starts on Tuesday 27 March and will take ten months.
